We're pleased to offer the following services in our Cumming Veterinary Clinic:
We are available for wellness or sick appointments Monday through Saturday. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Online request forms are available to submit an appointment request. Please be as thorough as possible in services you are needing and owner contact information. Walk-In's are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come in immediately. It is highly recommended to call before coming in so staff members are prepared to advise and aid you. Clients have the option to opt in or out of appointment and vaccination reminder texts/emails/postcards to make sure your pet stays up to date on all needed services.
Our veterinarians have surgical availability throughout the week for convenient scheduling of spay/neuters, dental cleaning, and mass removals. Specialty surgeries can be scheduled after visiting us for a consultation. In the event that your pet needs emergency surgery, we are equipped to perform surgery on an as needed basis. If the veterinarian recommends a specialty clinic, we are conveniently located to numerous specialty clinics.
Our veterinarians and personnel on duty are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such as accidental ingestion of rat poison, hit by car, chocolate ingestion, or foreign body ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. CMAH is conveniently located to numerous ER and specialty facilities, should a need for a referral arise.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our veterinarians will work to fit you in between scheduled appointments. Upon arrival, our receptionists can give an estimate on wait time before being seen.
Coal Mountain Animal Hospital offers overnight boarding for dogs and cats of all sizes, Spacious runs are available for our larger and more active dogs. Cat boarding is located in a secluded location to ensure cats remain in a peaceful environment. We house all boarded pets indoors in air conditioning/heat. Dogs are exercised daily one-on-one in our fully enclosed lawn. We give owners the option to bring their own food or feed our hospital kennel food at no additional charge. Pets are allowed their own bedding/blanket or one will be provided for them. Owners have the option to add on bath or grooming services prior to pick up so their pet goes home refreshed.
Because we are dedicated to providing exceptional care for your pet, we only offer boarding to current patients. To qualify for boarding, pets must have been seen for an office exam by a CMAH veterinarian within the last year regardless of if vaccines are current. This policy is in place to establish a doctor - patient - client relationship. In the event that an issue arises while the pet is boarding, we want to have the personal connection with the pet and owner when making treatment recommendations and decisions.
Pets must be current on all required vaccines/services with proof of vaccination. Dogs are required to be up to date on Rabies, DHPP, Kennel Cough vaccines, and Intestinal Parasite and Heartworm Test. Cats are required to be up to date on Rabies, FVRCP, and Leukemia vaccines.
