Dr. Stephanie Hartsfield-Vinson graduated Magna Cum Laude from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Dr. Hartsfield grew up in Athens, AL. From the time she could say 'veterinarian', that is what she wanted to be. Dr. Hartsfield owned an animal hospital in Alabama for 10 years before moving to Cumming and purchasing Coal Mountain Animal Hospital. Dr. Hartsfield has special interests in internal medicine, radiology, dentistry, oncology, geriatric medicine, and fear-free medical practices. Dr. Hartsfield is a member of the AVMA, GVMA, and is a Fear-Free Certified Veterinarian. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Glen, her three sons and one daughter. Dr. Hartsfield's four-legged children are two King Charles Cavaliers.
Dr. Claire Surber is a 2005 graduate of the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine. A native of West Virginia, her training took her to the Panama Canal to study tamarin monkey behavior and to Brazil as an extern in zoo animal medicine. Dr. Surber's interests in companion animal medicine include ophthalmology, pain management, and senior wellness care. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, pottery, and the outdoors. Dr. Surber lives in Cumming with her husband, four children, and a menagerie of animals.
Dr. Dabbs has been practicing since 2014 when she graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine. She is also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, which she achieved through Chi University. Dr. Dabbs works together with pet owners to find the best combination of traditional Western and Chinese medicine for each pet's health. She enjoys being able to care for dogs and cats from their puppy/kitten visits through their “golden years.” Dr. Dabbs believes that health is a product of a pet’s whole body and environment and has special interest in nutrition, behavior, and pain relief. She is a Fear-Free Certified Veterinarian and is trained to minimize the stress of veterinary visits. In her free time, Dr. Dabbs enjoys spending time with her family, going to church, and being outdoors. She has a tuxedo cat named Cobb and a Boston Terrier named Alfie.
Dr. Katelyn Hart achieved her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian when she graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She takes special interest in small animal surgery and dentistry, and is a member of the AVMA and GUMA. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, playing piano, and watching movies.
